Jane iMatrix i-Size 40-83cm Car Seat + Isofix Base £435.00
iMatrix iSize + Isofix Base
Maximum safety i-Size baby carrier and carrycot
The new iMATRIX from Jané is the new i-Size version of the popular Matrix system. It is designed to protect your baby in the car and is suitable for use by children with a height of between 40 and 83 cm which is from birth to 18 months approx.
As the iMatrix is an i-Size car seat it means, like all i-size car seats, that it uses the ISOFIX system and not seat belts to install it into your car.
Complete with the Isofix base, there is only one simple and quick way to install it in your car - in the rearward facing position on its Isofix base. This is the safest installation system, as it prevents any installation errors that could affect safety.
The i-Size infant car seat that turns into a carrycot
The iMatrix is fitted with the “Pro-Fix” system, which means that with just one movement, it can be fitted onto your Jané chassis to make a travel system.
- Health Benefits -
Newborn babies should ideally lie completely flat, as recommended by health officials. This position unlike conventional infant car seats doesn’t have any time restrictions a newborn can travel in it. It also facilitates newborn respiration, nurtures the abdomen and aids optimal spinal development. The Jané iMatrix iSize innovative design recognises these important requirements and allows baby to travel in the lie-flat position on the pram chassis or as a carrycot. In the car, the iMATRIX has been designed to be installed together with the Isofix iPLATFORM base and always in the rear facing, sitting-up position.

If car engineers use crash tests to ensure maximum safety for their occupants, why not do the same with child seats?
If you have ever wondered how we do it to have the safest car seats on the market, here we explain all our secrets.
A Unique Laboratory
The Jané Crash Test Research Centre was built in 2003 when, as a result of our commitment to child safety, we decided to create our own crash test tunnel where we could test our seats to the limit to achieve a level of safety that goes beyond the legal requirements.
All the Jané seats are created in the JANÉ CRASH TEST RESEARCH CENTER, the only private crash tunnel in Spain for researching child safety.
As it is situated beside our factory in Palau-Solità i Plegamans (Barcelona), we can use the Crash Test facility as much as is necessary (and then some more). And that's how we can offer you the most tested seats on the market with the strictest certification of Europe.
|Johnston Prams Replies:||Yes your car has been tested with the iMatrix iSize car seat and fits perfectly well. In fact the iMatrix will fit all modern cars that have ISOFIX and the only things to check for, as with all car seats, is that any AIRBAGS are switched off on that seat position, and that the floor in which the support leg is placed onto is solid; no underfloor compartments. If it does have a compartment, then you need to speak to your car dealer for a filler, or check that the support leg can extend to the solid floor of the compartment.|
|Johnston Prams Replies:||Hi Lorenzo, The iMatrix is a true i-Size car seat and therefore can not be installed in the car with seat belts, only with the Isofix Base that is included. If you need the flexibility of seat belt installation and Isofix installation, then you would need the MATRIX LIGHT 2 version. It can be installed in the car with either its optional Isofix base (the Matrix Platform) or the seat belt option. Hope this helps. Regards Steve|
|Johnston Prams Replies:||No, Each pushchair seat unit is designed for their particular chassis. This is so they can fold with the chassis and are also stable, as some chassis and pushchair on the Jane range are higher off the ground than others. The Jane car seats can go on different jane chassis or pushchair, but not the pushchair seat units. hope this helps.|
