JANÉ has been around since 1932 and brings to the market a strong heritage of innovative in crash test research and development. Boasting its very own Crash Test Research Centre, this brand is known for pioneering development in child health, and has won countless award for MATRIX, the world’s ONLY truly flat lie-flat car seat/carry cot. The range includes pushchairs and nursery goods.

The Nurse brand has had the trust of Spanish parents for more than 35 years. Being well established in its native country, ‘Babynurse’ can now be found throughout Europe and this year throughout UK and Ireland. The brand offers a range of great value products with an unwavering focus on safety, convenience, durability and most importantly, value for money.
The First Jané Pushchair Was Created In 1932
The son of Ramón Jané Caúm, Manel Jané Vidal, changed the direction of the business when his son was born. "If you’re such a good locksmith, if you’ve got so many ideas for other people, prove you’ve got them for your son as well". Encouraged by his father, Manel Jané accepted the challenge and, a few days later, little Ramón went out on wheels, in a buggy that Manel Jané was very proud of. The admiration it caused among neighbours and friends inspired him to make a couple of folding pushchairs and present them in department stores in Barcelona. A week later he got his first orders. Jané began to make folding pushchairs for children. That’s how our story began with the firm commitment to do everything as well as possible, as if it were for our own babies.
Jané History
It was way back in 1932 when Manel Jané, challenged by his father Ramón Jané (a locksmith by profession), created the first pushchair for his son in Barcelona, and Jané was born.
Pushchairs evolved and the first folding models made of wood and rubber were manufactured in 1939.
Jané moved to Calle Cartagena (Barcelona) in the 1950s. The factory was growing at breakneck speed..
The Royal pushchair with Benerón hit the market; it was the 60s and carrycots were designed in plastic with an adjustable fabric covering..
Jané created and patented an innovative frame called 'Janyplex'. It was the most compact folding pushchair on the market in 1967.
By the 70s, Jané product lines included pushchairs, carrycots and a childcare line with highchairs, rockers and much more.
Highchairs continued to advance with enhanced performance and, in 1989, the Tour GTI model won the Car of the Year award.
The 3-in-1 Carrera –pushchair, carrycot and car seat– hit the market shortly after the turn of the millennium.
Jané's commitment to child safety and innovation materialised in 2003 with the creation of the Jané Crash Test Research Centre.
The Exo was created in 2010: the first car seat with Isofix and an advanced shock absorption system.
Kendo, the SUV of pushchairs, was launched in 2019: solid, utilitarian and versatile for all types of terrain.

Jané Crash Test Research Centre
Since 1932 Jané has constantly reinvested in research and development. This philosophy has led to the creation of the Jané Crash Test Research Centre, built in 2003 it is the only private test laboratory in Spain for child safety research.
Unlike other brands, our crash test centre is based in-house at our factory in Palau- Solità i Plegamans (Barcelona). This means we can constantly test and retest our products on a daily basis. And that's how we can offer you the most tested seats on the market with the strictest certification of Europe.
Our crash testing facility is simply exceptional, setting new standards and consistently pioneering breakthroughs in child safety. We are proud that safety is embedded in the DNA of the Jané brand and for over ten years the centre has been committed to ensuring our products are simply the safest and most advanced on the market.
The Research Centre has recently had an upgrade to future-proof all our operations and ensures that we continue to create products that are innovative and offer the best protection and health benefits for babies and children. All our high-speed testing is carried out according to ECE Regulations.
